Mugg & Bean’s Wall of Generosity

28 November

9am to 5pm at the Banking Court, Sandton City

Mugg & Bean will erect a Wall of Generosity that will be filled with cupcakes in order to raise money and awareness for children who suffer with cancer. The cupcakes will be handed out to shoppers and the public is encourages to snap a picture of themselves with their cupcake and post it on social media using the hashtag #cupcakeformyhero. Stille Waters Official Screening

28 November

2.15pm at Ster Kinekor Cinema Nouveau, Rosebank.

The students of AFDA, The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, will be screening their third year graduation production Stille Waters. Watch as the future, local film makers try to break into the business.

Maftown Heights

28 November

3pm at Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown.

Celebrating the hip-hop sub-genre known as motswako, which is a mixture of Setswana and English rap, the biggest event on the South African hip-hop calendar is also an ode to the sub-genre´s birthplace, Mafikeng – known to all the cool kids as Maftown. You’ll be able to catch Khuli Chana, Tuks, JR and Morafe, as well as Cassper Nyovest, AKA, K.O, Reason and Ricky Rick are also billed to perform on what is said to be one of the biggest nights in South African hip-hop.

Ice Cream Sunday – The Mo Edition

11am at Unit 8, Micro Venue, 16 High Road, corner of Corlett Drive.

There’s no better way to end of a weekend than by eating your weight in ice cream and catching a live performance. Ice Cream Sunday have collaborated with Prep’ed bt Sasha, Mikasa creative and Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream so it promises to be a tasty event! A percentage of the proceeds will towards the Movember cause.
