Food and craft market at Field and Study Park

PARKMORE – Community members of Parkmore and other areas are invited to a food and craft market to be held at the Field and Study Park on 21 November.

Handri Coolen, from the Field and Study Park’s market, said the idea behind the monthly market is to get the surrounding community members and others to connect and enjoy the park.

“We feel there is a need for people to have that feeling of community again,” added Coolen.

“There will also be a number of residents from surrounding areas who will trade at the market and it would be great if the community could support them.”

There will be space for families to move around, a large jungle gym, free activities and toys for the children. Adults can shop and relax under the shade of the trees with food and drinks.

Coolen said food lovers can expect Mexican tacos, Serbian street food, Indian curries, Chinese dim sum, American pulled pork rolls, Japanese sushi and artisanal baked goods.

All the crafts are unique and handmade locally. Also, entrance to the market is free and there is ample parking with security.
