  • Guinness World Record Attempt

7 November

Be a part of a Guinness World Record attempt and help them create the biggest contribution to a paint by numbers. Entrance is absolutely free, but please sign up on the website for a time slot of your choice as it will help them co-ordinate the day and you will get a fast pass to skip the queues. Be a part of history in the making by taking part in the attempt which takes place on William Nicol Drive, opposite Montecasino.

  • Mo Yoga

7 November

The Mo Yoga event has been organised in conjunction with the Movember Foundation – a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Together they’re tackling some of the biggest health issues faced by men – prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. The event will take place at the Shed@1Fox in Maboneng and participants will be led by three of the yogis who will be teaching Vinyasa yoga.

  • Electric Summer

8 November

Local radio station 5FM has managed to rope Clean Bandit in to perform a live show at Zoo Lake Sports Club, alongside the much-loved music duo that is Goldfish. It was recently announced that Jess Glynne would also join the Electric Summer concert, so there’s no place that you’d rather be on 8 November than at Zoo Lake for the start of an Electric Summer.

  • Johannesburg International Comedy Festival

6-8 November

The festival is a multi-venue, multi-show comedy featuring local, continental and international talent performing at Alexander Theatre, The Orbit Jazz Café, Thirteen and the Bannister Hotel in Braamfontein, as well as The Market Theatre and Bassline in the Newtown precinct. There will be three days of fun and laughs when 42 comedians all perform their own sets.

  • All About the Piano

6-29 November

All About the Piano pays tribute to the most popular instrument of all – the piano. It is a celebration of the most beautiful melodies produced by piano players. Some melodies can be sentimental, some nostalgic, some modern, some shockingly old fashioned, some quirky, some funny, some heavy, tragic and sad – but always beautiful – and they will all be performed by Rocco de Villiers at Montecasino in November.
