New statistics reveal that South Africa has been rated as the 18th best place in the world to raise children.
Astonishingly, the US and UK did not make the top 20 list – so maybe first world countries could learn something from developing ones.
According to EWN, it was 14 000 foreigners the world over who participated in the survey. Germany, France, Singapore and Mexico were some of the countries to score spots in the top 25, with Mexico, Malta and Ecuador being listed as the most appealing destinations in the world.
Austria took the number one spot as the best country in the world to raise kids.
