Spring Day: Expectations vs Reality
JOHANNESBURG – It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! 1 September means Spring Day! It’s time to pull out the shorts, slops and … tissues because hay fever and allergies are on the way.
While the ladies strut their stuff in summer dresses and the men admire the view, there are some people who understand that our expectations of spring may not always be the reality.
Spring is mating season and love is in the air. That hay fever you’ve got? That’s the love in the air, aggravating your nose.
It is not always sunny on the first day of spring. Or the second … or the third.
Hay fever. Enough said.
South Africans simply love this game!
There are also a few poor souls who are not happy to see spring and they’ve taken to social media to let everyone know.
