Mi Casa goes global

JOBURG - Mi Casa is the part-Portuguese band that has made waves in South Africa with their soulful music, and now they're taking their act international.

Mi Casa is taking their act to other countries around the world, and no, they’re not touring as an opening act for an international artist – they will be performing for their own fans across the globe.

The band was formed in 2010, and since then has skyrocketed to success with their signature sound and musical creativity. Since the band took the South African music industry by storm, they have also taken their music into their own hands and announced the formation of their own record label, 34 Music.

The band will take their act to a number of amazing destinations including Spain, Portugal, Italy and New York, among others.

“The vision for the international tour was to break into the international market and build the Mi Casa brand, and so far it’s been extremely successful and we are excited for [sic] this tour,” said frontman, lead singer and guitarist of Mi Casa, and foodie, J’Something.

The tour, which is called Mi Casa Gone Global, is set to comprise 14 dates across eight cities in Europe and the USA, and will kick off on 15 July in London.

The tour will challenge international audiences to take an interest in the unique sound they produce, which has been hailed as truly African with an undeniable international appeal.

The world of Mi Casa is a very exciting one at the moment and there’s no stopping the big things that are yet to come for this group.
