Disney On Ice is back in South Africa, with this year’s theme being Let’s Celebrate.
For this year’s performance, Disney will bring more than 50 most beloved classic and contemporary characters from Disney films.
The show will feature performances by everyone’s favourite characters including Mickey Mouse, Lilo and Stitch, The Mad Hatter, Villains, Princesses and many more.
New seating has been installed at The Dome, especially for the Disney On Ice shows to ensure that fans of all ages will have a perfect view of their favourite characters. Tony Feldman, director of Showtime Management, has expressed his excitement about the return of family the show.
“Each production is a different theme which is based on festivals from all around the world, and really it is just an ice spectacular,” he said.
“It’s a fun-filled family show that will appeal to people from the age of two to 90.”
Feldman also divulged to City Buzz that the exciting shows will be performed by Olympic skaters from around the world.
The music has been taken from a number of the other shows that have been produced in other countries around the world.
Showtime Management is expecting tremendous numbers to turn out for the extravaganza. In Johannesburg there is expected to be about 100 000 people to attend and 50 000 to 60 000 to attend in Cape Town.
Disney has been a fixture in the homes of people the world over for more than 90 years, and now it is coming straight to a venue in South Africa to entertain the countless Disney fans.
