FOURWAYS – The king of South African satire, Pieter-Dirk Uys, is currently hosting a one-man show at Montecasino and it promises to have audience members in stitches as he portrays many of his famous sketches.
ALL SMILES: Barati Montshiwe, Queen Motlatle and Nthati Moshesh.
The show is themed ‘An audience with Pieter-Dirk Eish’ and is hosted at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre.
From the gorgeous Evita Bezuidenhout, to the peaceful Desmond Tutu, the show revolves around the audience who are asked to pick from various boxes which are set up on stage, each containing a different hilarious character.
Each character not only represents a unique facet of our rainbow nation, but also Uys’ dynamic stage presence spanning over the last three decades.
At a mere 70 years young, Uys’ comedic stage presence is rivalled by none through his immaculate ability to change the way we view all aspects of our growing democracy as he has been doing since the mid ’80s.
The show will be running up until 12 April and ticket prices range from R100 to R170, which can be bought from Computicket or the Montecasino website.
