Two evenings with John Legend in Joburg
JOBURG - Nine-time Grammy Award winning artist John Legend will tour South Africa in November.
Speaking on behalf of Big Concerts, Dionne Domyan-Mudie said Legend will perform two shows in Joburg and two in Cape Town as part of his An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour.
The tour has sold out in over 60 US cities, and features the neo-soul artist in an intimate setting, with a guitar and vocal accompaniment, as well as a string quartet.
“I’ve enjoyed this tour immensely,” said Legend.
“The opportunity to get up close and personal with my fans and tell my story has been so much fun for me.”
Fans can look forward to live performances of the smash hit single All of Me from Legend’s critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Love in the Future, as well as a mix of popular songs from his previous albums.
Love in the Future claimed the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart, as well as number one in four radio formats: urban adult contemporary, top 40, rhythm, and adult top 40.
“[All of Me] marks Legend’s highest selling and charting single of his career to date, which sold over 5.5 million worldwide,” said Domyan-Mudie.
Legend will perform on 22 and 23 November at the Coca-Cola Dome, Northriding, Johannesburg.
His Grand Arena, Cape Town, shows will take place on 16 and 17 November.
Tickets will go on sale on 18 June.
