A treat for music lovers

JOBURG - Castle Lite announced that it will collaborate with Grammy award winning producer Timberland.

Andrea Quaye, Castle Lite general manager broke the news about the company’s Extra Cold Music promotion that is set to be the biggest music campaign of the year. An exclusive press launch was held at The World of Yamaha in Sandton for the big announcement. Quaye said Extra Cold Music would collaborate with Timberland to launch a world-first music portal that would bring consumers the very latest in local and international music for free, and instantly via their cellphones.

Timberland said, “When I received the call to collaborate with Castle Lite, I was excited. I like to find new sounds and new things to bring to America and I thought it would be such a great match for me because I am so worldly.” Various guests from the South African entertainment industry were invited to the event. Celebrities such as Sizwe Dhlomo, Lerato Kganyago, Pearl Thusi, Loyiso Gola and Slikour were in attendance. Also, trend analyst Deon Chang gave a presentation on the evolution of the digital world to introduce the concept of how music has been incorporated in that digital evolution. Guests wrapped up the night and enjoyed music from South African hip-hop artist Reason and Deejay Akio.

Quaye said, “This revolutionary concept is essentially an ‘always on’ music portal that will provide consumers with music across various genres including pop, hip-hop, house, rock, RnB, and kwaito.”
