The team fought hard against Midrand Cricket Club, and their performance on the field demonstrated significant promise, offering a glimpse of what the future holds for this talented group of players.
Though the opposition managed to edge out a victory, it was clear that the difference came down to the finer details.
The opposition made fewer mistakes and capitalised on opportunities with precision.
However, this match served as a valuable learning experience for the Cover Drive players, both as individuals and as a cohesive unit.
Coach Sydwell Ndlovu emphasised the positive aspects of the game.
“We played good cricket today. Our team showed great spirit, and even though we did not get the result we wanted, we can only get better and better from here. This was a great learning curve for all of us.”
