South Africa Cricket Academy displayed unyielding courage in a loss against Cover Drive held at Grayston Prep.
Cover Drive won the toss and elected to bat first, showcasing their batting prowess throughout the innings. Cover Drive posted a challenging target of 168 runs.
The academy’s six-year-old Adam Hermanson was the pick of his team’s batsmen and was unbeaten on 16 runs off 38 balls. He hit his first boundary, an incredible achievement at such a tender age.
The extras column played a significant role in the academy’s innings, contributing 55 extras consisting of nine byes, one leg bye, 42 wides, and three no-balls. The academy finished their innings on 100/3 in 20 overs, falling considerably short of the target set by Cover Drive.
