South Africans urged to back Banyana Banyana in their World Cup journey

The President of Safa, Dr Danny Jordaan applauded Sasol on their great initiative and campaign to support Banyana Banyana.

South Africans were called upon to get behind Banyana Banyana in this year’s World Cup.

The Fifa Women’s World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand and is scheduled to take place from 20 July to 20 August.

Banyana Banyana’s Nomvula Kgoale is excited to be part of the Sasol Banyana Banyana campaign launch.

To support the national women’s team, Sasol launched a campaign titled ‘South Africa your support is our energy’. The launch took place on May 3 in Green Park, Morningside.

Sasol’s executive vice president for human resources and stakeholder relations Charlotte Mokoena said Sasol was reaffirming its commitment to the national team through this campaign, having been a part of the squad for 15 years.

She added the campaign was a call to all 60 million South Africans to show their support and rally behind the team. This energy would enable the team to train harder, have more power on the field, and take on their opponents head-on knowing that South Africa was behind them all the way.
