Amilkar Bhana represents SA well

Crawford International Sandton learner continues to level up in golf.

Amilkar Bhana, a Grade 12 learner at Crawford International, was part of the South African golf team that won the All-Africa Junior Championship in Uganda.

With 14 countries participating and 98 players, the tournament was held at the prestigious Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort on April 16 to 20.

Amilkar Bhana, Kegan Crosbie, Jack Buchanan, and Jaden Deltel were in the winning team.

The South African team dominated the tournament over the course of four days, from the first day to the last.

For the individual challenges among 56 boys, Amilkar came in second overall with a score of 288. He said, “It was an honour and privilege to represent my country in this once-in-a-lifetime tournament, and I have made so many friends for life from the 13 other countries.”

He said he enjoyed and loved every minute of this memorable experience.

Their winning means that the team has qualified to go to the 2023 Toyota Golf World Cup in Tokyo, Japan, this coming June.
