Results of ESPN Africa Boxing 21

Main card boxing fighter Jackson Chauke defends his flyweight title for the fifth time in a heated battle against Sinethembu Kotana at the Galleria on September 22.

Boxing fans were all geared up and ready for another jam-packed evening filled with tons of action and drama.

The ESPN Africa Boxing event which was held at the Galleria had five main cards and two undercard fights to offer.

The 21st instalment of the prominent boxing event had a full house of supporters shouting and cheering for some of their favourite fighters in the ring on September 22.

During the opening bout of the main card battles, Darrin Rossouw (6-0-0) won in a staggering technical knockout (TKO) outcome over his opponent, Sheldon Schultz (4-4-0). The official conducting the junior middleweight fight called off the fight at the beginning of the fifth round. Even though the battle between the two had Rossouw’s name written on it after the first bell of round one, Schultz indeed gave it his all which in this case was not enough for the undefeated fighter.

The highly anticipated main card fight between Jackson Chauke and Sinethembu Kotana left fans sitting on the edge of their seats in every round.

Both fighters poured their hearts into winning the flyweight title. In this fight, experience outweighed new talent as Chauke bagged himself another victory. The fighter won the 12-round fight in a unanimous decision (118-110, 116-114, 116-112). Chauke’s latest victory against Kotana led to the fifth successful defence of his flyweight title.
