Inanda Africa Cup great success

INANDA – Sao Polo’s Magaji Saidu Barda took the team’s third penalty of the day, scoring a clean shot to seal the victory for his team.

The Sao Polo Nigeria polo team triumphed over the Cell C South Africa team 7–4 to lift the Cell C Inanda Africa Cup 2021.

The thrilling match took place at Inanda Club in Sandton on 19 June had polo enthusiasts glued to their screens as the game was live streamed for all to view.

Sao Polo’s Magaji Saidu Barda took the team’s third penalty of the day, scoring a clean shot to seal the victory for his team. Team captain Ope Oyinlola expressed immense gratitude to Inanda Club for an exciting day and great game on the field.

Cell C executive head of marketing Hazel Chimhandamba congratulated Sao Polo on their sterling performance. “The visiting team showed exceptional field prowess as a result of their well curated teamwork,” she said.

Magaji Saidu Barda of Sao Polo was awarded the title of Most Valued Player while the Best Playing Pony title went to Life Mode ridden by Zompie Totetsi of the Sao Polo team.

The excitement of the day was rounded off by a thrilling horse versus machine race which saw Zompie Totetsi out galloping the prestigious Ferrari 458 Italia (Type F142).
