Wanderers junior hockey season gets off to a positive start

ILLOVO – There are still a few spots available at Wanderers junior hockey.

The Wanderers junior hockey season began with an exciting start on 6 March at the Wanderers AstroTurf.

More than 300 junior members between the ages of four and 17 were welcomed to the club to play hockey, see old friends and meet new ones.

Hockey administrator at Wanderers Gill Pringle said, “Wanderers hockey is aware of the seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic and is committed to providing a safe environment for our members to play as well as complying with all necessary safety measures and procedures.”

Pringle added that at Wanderers they strove to create an inclusive hockey environment in which all levels were catered for, providing a safe space for each member to grow and develop.

“We hold club tradition and ethos in high regard, promoting fun, sportsmanship and comradery as well as consistent participation in club training, tournaments and leagues to enable our teams to achieve their best potential.”

While the junior hockey section was almost full, a few spots were still available for those interested.
