Check out the variety of sports activities we have highlighted through 2020.

Though it has been a quiet year for the sporting fraternity, 2020 has also been a year of great innovation within sport with locals taking on virtual challenges and raising funds for the underprivileged through various virtual events.

The Sandton Chronicle took a look at five of our best sports stories of 2020:

In February, PinkDrive hosted a successful More Balls Than Most World Cancer Golf Day. All in the name of charity, players travelled from far and near to support this worthy cause. Read more here

By April, the country was facing a hard lockdown with few options for going out. Sandton resident Ethiene Marais took on a 56km race at his home, inspiring others to get active at home to keep their spirits up. Read more here:   Ethiene finishes 56km
