In Tweets: South Africans react to Bafana qualifying for Afcon 2019

South Africans were left pleasantly surprised when Bafana convincingly qualified for AFCON 2019 in June, which will be hosted in Egypt.


South African football fans have been disappointed by the national team performances in the past couple of years but this time around Bafana proved many of their critics wrong by convincingly qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2019 in Egypt. 

South Africa defeated Libya 2–1 in Tunisia and the celebrations started straight after the final whistle.

Man of the match, striker Percy Tau who currently plays his football in Belgium second-tier league team Union SG on loan from English premier league side Brighton & Hove Albion, scored both goals for Bafana.
