#SandtonSportsClub: Warriors FC excel in league games

SANDTON – The Warriors FC has had a successful season.

Warriors FC soccer teams which are based at the Sandton Sports Club have had a successful season.

This according to Moira Valkin of Warriors who said the Sandton club was a model of transformation and excellence.

“The Sandton Sports Club soccer club youth programme is a niche club which is unmatched in the entire country,” she said.

“All surplus funds and more are spent educating and training our professional coaches to ensure they are international class junior coaches.”

She added that all their teams from U6 to U15 were entered in the Safa Little and Junior leagues.

“Notably, our U8, U9 and U10 Little League teams have finished in the top three of their divisions while our U12 Super League team finished second scoring a stunning 66 goals,” said Valkin.

She added that their U15 team had won the Safa U15 Super League, but unfortunately they were knocked out of the U15 Super League Cup in the semi-finals.

“This team consists almost exclusively of disadvantaged boys from Alexandra township and has finished either top or second in the Super League group from U12.

“They are arguably the best U15 team in the country and play a sensational brand of football and as a result, the reputation of Warriors FC is starting to be recognised for being the place for truly nurturing football talent.”

In the final game of the season, the Warriors FC U13 team is playing in the Safa U13 Super League Cup final on 21 October at Bedfordview Country Club.
