#ICYMI: Kevin Anderson out of the US Open

SANDTON – South African favourite, Kevin Anderson faced a tough match against a younger opponent.

South Africa’s top-ranked tennis player, Kevin Anderson, bowed out of the US Open following a tough match against Dominic Thiem in the round of 16.

The former St Stithians College lost in straight sets 7–5, 6–2, 7–6.

Following his loss, Anderson said, “It was an incredibly tough match against Dominic today, but I’m pleased to get through to the round of 16. Being the first to play under the roof of Louis Armstrong was pretty cool too.”
