Kevin Anderson in the third round of the US Open

SANDTON – South African tennis player, Kevin Anderson has made it into the third round of the US Open after a convincing victory.

South African tennis player, Kevin Anderson has made it through to the third round of the US Open.
Anderson is currently ranked number five in the world and played against Jeremy Chardy in the second round.

The ex-St Stithians College learner beat Chardy 6–2, 6–4, 6–4 in one hour and 57 minutes.

He is set to face Denis Shapovalov who is currently ranked 28 in the ATP rankings.

Anderson tweeted after the match that it was a very hot day at the US Open. “It’s never easy playing my friend Jeremy, but I’m happy to be through to the third round. Time for some rest and to get ready for Friday,” he tweeted.
