Twitter applauds Caster Semenya on third world title

LONDON – Social media users show their respect to three-times women's 800m champion.

South Africa’s Caster Semenya has been trending on Twitter for all the right reasons after winning her third world title in the women’s 800m race in London on 13 August.

She finished in 1:55.16 ahead of Francine Niyonsaba of Burundi (1:55.92) and Ajee Wilson of the USA (1:56.65) to win gold again, after securing the titles in the 2009 and 2011 IAAF World Championships.

Semenya also won a bronze in this year’s 1 500m women’s race on 7 August.
