Summit College hosts the Jabulani netball and soccer tournament

MIDRAND – Summit College hosted the Jabulani netball and soccer tournament involving 12 schools.

 

Summit College hosted the Jabulani netball and soccer tournament and had 12 schools participating. The U11 and Open tournament started off 14 years ago with only four schools participating.

“The initial idea was to create a tournament for the smaller schools to participate and showcase their talents but as the years went by, more and more schools have entered,” said Natasha De Amorim Leith the admissions, marketing and PR administrator for Summit College.

The 12 participating schools were Bellavista, Buccleuch Montessori, Building Blocks, Charterhouse, Christ Church, Japari, Jubilate, The King’s College Bryanston, Reddford House Blue Hills, Sagewood, Summerhill and Summit College.

The final results were as follows:

  • Netball U11 runner’s up – Jubilate
  • Netball U11 winners – The King’s College Bryanston (player of the tournament was Shianne Mortimer)
  • Netball Open runner’s up – Charterhouse
  • Netball Open winners – Summit (player of the tournament was Khutso Phasha)
  • Soccer U11 runner’s up – The King’s College Bryanston
  • Soccer U11 winners – Christ Church (player of the tournament was Oratile Mokwena)
  • Soccer Open runner’s up – Charterhouse
  • Soccer Open winners – The King’s College Bryanston (player of the tournament was Rati Mampuru).
