Joburg teams headline Diski Challenge

JOBURG – Teams from the City of Gold will headline the MultiChoice Diski Challenge in Mpumalanga this weekend.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are set to headline the MultiChoice Diski Challenge this weekend at KaNyamazane Stadium in Mpumalanga.

It’s still early days in the competition with only three rounds having been played, but a clear favourite has emerged in Bidvest Wits. The ‘Students’ started like a house on fire, collecting maximum points in all their matches, including a 4–0 drubbing of Kaizer Chiefs, and are yet to concede a goal.

Not falling off the pace this early in the season will be the aim of the other teams participating which include Mamelodi Sundowns, Free State Stars, Platinum Stars, Baroka FC, Polokwane City and Chippa United.

Sundowns and City get proceedings underway at 11am on 8 October followed immediately by Pirates and United at 1pm.

On 9 October fans will get to see which star shines brightest when Free State Stars play Platinum Stars at 11am. Baroka take on Chiefs soon after to close out round four at 1pm.

The festival weekend brings with it another opportunity for Diski Challenge fans to win a R5 000 grocery voucher and be in line to win a trip to the Netherlands, accompanying the champions at the end of the season.

Competition details are available on the tournament’s social media pages; @Asidlali on Twitter and Asidlali on Facebook, as well as on SuperSport 4 on match day.

Entrance to the stadium is free but football lovers will have to get free tickets from TicketPro outlets in the province or at Jet, CNA, Edgars and Samsung stores.

Two tickets will be allocated per person for each match day on a first-come-first-serve basis. On collection, each person will be required to produce a valid South African ID.
