Inanda Club ranks tops in award ceremony

INANDA - The Inanda Club walked away with top honours at inaugural awards.

The Inanda Club in Sandton walked away with top honours at the recent inaugural Club Management Association of South Africa’s (CMASA) Awards.

The awards, in association with the Braxton Group, Jonas, SAB, Tsogo Sun and Peformax, took place during the Africa Golf Summit at Serengeti Golf Estate on 29 August.

Paul Oosthuizen, the general manager of the Inanda Club, was voted the club manager of the year.

The judging took place over two months. Nominations were received from various clubs for the relevant categories and were presented to a judging panel of industry leaders and stakeholders.

Each of the 14 nominees underwent a 30-minute interview with the judging panel, after which the judges made their final decision.

“CMASA is focused on improving the education, skills and abilities of management within the recreation and sports club structures, and the hard work behind the scenes of these individuals often goes unnoticed,” said Janyne Marais, general manager of CMASA.

“The awards not only acknowledge these people who go the extra mile, but also creates a focus on service standards in the industry, ensuring that we exceed the expectations of our members and guests.”
