Kicking their way through their first tourney

CEDAR LAKES - THE hot summer sun did not deter the young members of the Cedar Lakes Football Club from kicking their way through the first friendly tournament at Cedar Lakes Lifestyle Estate recently.

The club founder, Peter Grgin, explained that the club was formed in September after the estate’s astroturf facility was completed and 25 members have already signed up.

He said the matches were held against combined teams from Eagle Canyon Football Club and the Kyalami Knight Riders of Kyalami Estates.

“Cedar Lakes boys and girls did the estate proud and were enthusiastic and had loads of fun,” said Grgin.

He also explained that the club formed at Cedar Lakes was part of an estate concept to provide fun and skills sessions twice a week for the children who live in the estate. It caters to children from the age of three and older.
