School joins nation on Bok Friday

BUCCLEUCH – Staff members of Buccleuch Primary School have joined the nation on Bok Friday by wearing their Springbok rugby jerseys.

Go Bokke… The Buccleuch Primary School staff members wear their South African Springbok rugby team jerseys on Friday.

Following the start of the Rugby World Cup, Fridays in South Africa have now turned green and gold.

Reports state that the Minister of Sport, Fikile Mbalula, has called on corporate South Africa to allow their staff members to wear Springbok jerseys at work on Fridays in support of the South African Springbok rugby team. The same support was shown during the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

“We have great spirit for our sport and country,” said Seshma Bhoopal of the school.

She said staff members of the school have now decided to dedicate their Fridays to proudly wearing their South African Springbok rugby team jerseys.
