The tournament’s ambassador, former Protea fast bowler Makhaya Ntini, was delighted to be part of the Africa T20 Cup and hoped that his presence would help inspire upcoming players.

Speaking to the media at the Wanderers Stadium Ntini said, “This game of cricket allowed me to show the world that a rural boy can also be something and be someone. When I was asked to be part of this, I wanted to get involved because this is a great opportunity for young players in Africa.”
