Sandhurst resident impresses at Parkview golf championship

PARKVIEW - HAVING finished 15 shots clear of Chrissie Hammer, Sandton resident Sharon Leith did her community proud following her impressive win at the 2015 Parkview Golf Club ladies' Championship recently in Parkview.

This was the first win for the Sandhurst resident, who shot 171 (85. 88) over 36 holes to finish clear of Hammer, who managed 186 (95. 91).

Sharon, a nine-handicap who has been playing golf for about 20 years, expressed joy at finally clinching the win after several unsuccessful spells.
