St Stithians to host top SA talent

SANDTON - With over 1200 pupils from 47 schools from across South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and the United Kingdom preparing for the St Stithians Easter Sports Festival, the school will showcase some of the country top talents in sport and entertainment.

As athletes from a variety of different sports prepare for the event which will take place from 2 to 6 April, the festival will also host a plethora of well-known personalities including some of South Africa’s most popular music acts for the “Concert 4U” taking place on the evenings of 2 April and 4 April.

The “Concert 4U” event will kick off with Disc-jockey extraordinaire and 5FM personality DJ Fresh who will entertaining excited crowds on 2 April with exciting Johannesburg dance-electro duo The Illustrators, who have been known for sharing the stages with artists such as Mi Casa and Gangs of Ballet.

The concert’s second event on 4 April will end off the festival on a high note with Cape Town live electronic duo The Kiffness bringing the good vibes, as ex-St Stithians boys Pascal Ellinas and David Pearce aka Pascal and Pearce end the night with their SAMA nominated blend of energetic house and funk.

Spokesperson for the school Sandy Andrew said, “The Festival is an exciting family event. Apart from the abundance of sport and the two concerts, there is a choice of hospitality venues such as the Supporters marquee and the Hospitality marquee. Children aged 4-10 will enjoy the kiddies’ area, managed by the Junior Prep, where they can play safely under the watchful eyes of experienced supervisors.”

Tickets at R30 will be on sale at the Bram Fischer and Peter Place entrances of the school and will include the exciting concerts.
