Redhill pupil impresses at figure skating competition

SANDTON - Redhill School pupil, Talullah Memani did her school proud following her win at the Central Gauteng provincial figure skating championships.

She managed to place first in three different sections at the competition namely the nationals section pre-novice, the choreographic programme and the long technical programme.

Vicki Ntoni, Memani’s mother, described Memani as an all-rounder who excelled academically and in sports, especially figure skating.

“Talullah has been skating since she was close to three years old, obtaining numerous podium placings over the years,” she said.

Ntoni added that Memani had also qualified to skate in Hungary and Italy this year following her impressive score.

The competition run by the South African Figure Skating Association saw figure skaters compete against one another, with the winner representing the province nationally.
