The magic of Sandton

Sandton is such a special place to live.

As the front page proves, it is a place filled with history and special memories for so many residents, but for those who have not lived in the area, Sandton is a place where new memories can still be made.

From the hustle and bustle of Sandton City, the beauty of the Bryanston Country Club and the excitement of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange … there truly is something for everybody in this suburb that so many are lucky to call home.

When one looks at the skyline of Sandton, not only are the iconic buildings visible, but also the construction cranes – a constant reminder that the area is still growing and changing.

It is only fitting that, while our beautiful Sandton continues to change, the newspaper that literally has the suburb’s history written in its pages, grows with it. The Sandton Chronicle has been recording the lives of residents, people in transit and business people since the 70s and we are so honoured to continue doing just that, albeit a little differently these days.

While the magic of newspapers is here to stay, the Sandton Chronicle website has proven to be the true source for local news. As something happens, Sandton Chronicle is the place to reference to find out everything you need to know.

We are the news organisation that is truly invested in the area.

We hope to celebrate your wedding anniversaries with you, document your child’s first day of school and tell the world how clever they are when they graduate 12 years later.

Our passion is to tell your stories and be the newsroom that inspires communities, to help fight your battles and share in your joys.
