Your [Sandton Chronicle] front page refers (Water wasted, week ending 27 November 2015).
I report at least two pipe bursts a month, and do not hold my breath in the hope of them being repaired. A potable water pipe has been leaking in Meadowlands for more than 10 years and it is currently being investigated.
Joburg [Water] is recklessly wasting water and accusing users of causing the problem. This is not acceptable. Nor is the continuous leaking of sewage into our rivers from places such as Northern Farm.
