Speed humps is what we need

Harry Sewlall writes:

Nobody likes to drive over speed humps but they play an important part in getting motorists to slow down.

This is what we need in some of our streets, such as Fifth Street in Parkmore. I’m not sure if residents of Sixth Street would argue for this, but there is definitely a problem with Fifth Street in the afternoons, and occasionally over the weekends when some idiots treat it as a race track.

This might be due to its close proximity to Sandton Drive. Some motorists, including taxis, emerge out of the congestion on Sandton Drive and let it rip as they use Fifth Street as an alternative route or shortcut.

I fear for the lives of our pets and pedestrians.
