Rather recycle than resort to crime

Caroline Rozentvaig writes:

In response to Rubbish recyclers: are they a help or a hindrance, week ending 28 March.

Unemployment is very high as it is so these men (and women) are trying hard to earn a decent living without resorting to crime.

If Errol Levin is unhappy with these people, he must try and find alternative work for all the recyclers.

In some country in Africa (I cannot recall which one) the recyclers pedal bikes with a trailer.

It would be nice if all the household owners would make an effort to put plastic bottles, cardboard and glass bottles in separate black bags.

At least then these recyclers don’t have to fish through the filth. Half the filth could be used as compost and this would also reduce the amount of rubbish that goes into the landfill.

I do this so, why can’t others?
