Azania Sweeney, the seven-year-old South African sensation, has taken the internet by storm with a viral video from her remarkable appearance at Colombia Fashion Kids (CFK) 2023.
The St. Stithians College learner’s video showcasing her charm and talent on the CFK runway has garnered an astonishing 10 million views on Instagram; propelling her into the global spotlight.
According to Azania, she has been attending M&M Coaching with Personal and Comprehensive coach Merv Marvey for just about a year and is already celebrating a year of success and hard work that is paying off.
She said her journey at the CFK has been nothing short of extraordinary, and she looks forward to more of the best times as a runway model.
“I felt every emotion—nervous, excited, anxious, and overwhelmed at the same time. I had never walked a runway before, and this was my first international. I felt better when I saw my mommy, Alice, and coach Merv Marvey cheering me on the side.”
Azania believes that she made it to the CFK with the support of her parents, the coaching and mentoring of my coach, Merv Mavey, and the belief of everyone who follows her journey.
“They say it takes a village to grow a child, and I am grateful to all who have played a part in my life and my parents, who have raised me to believe that the sky is the limit.”
She stated that her coach inspires her to be what she is now and to show up and do her best at all times.
Merv Marvey, the South African creative artist, performer, and talent coach, plays an integral role in selecting Azania personally for the international platform.
He stated that he recognised her exceptional talent and star potential and made the strategic choice to include Azania in the Colombia Fashion Kids lineup.
