Bryneven Primary School celebrates phenomenal academic achievements

Located in Bryanston, the Bryneven Primary School aims to give the maximum opportunity to its learners to prepare them for life.

This year has yielded exceptional academic achievements for Bryneven Primary School.

The school’s academic achievements include participating in the National Prepared Reading Competition (English, Afrikaans, and isiZulu home language divisions.)

Principal Naeem Nakooda believes that all children should be nurtured to their full potential, and the school puts every effort into making opportunities for children to showcase their talents and extraordinary abilities.

“We strive to ensure that our children benefit from all learning opportunities presented to them. We are extremely proud of all the efforts of our children. They certainly live up to our motto, ‘Aim high.’”

Nakooda added that their young, talented ambassadors have demonstrated that determination, hard work, and an unwavering passion and thirst for learning breed success.

At the national English, Afrikaans, and IsiZulu competitions hosted by the South African Literacy Association, the learners showed their love and reading skills.

“We strive to instil within our learners a love of books and to impress on them the importance of reading. The most popular of our reading drives is our participation in the National Prepared Reading Competition hosted by the South African Literacy Association.”

He explained that they are proud to announce the excellent achievements of the participants in the regional round of the National Prepared Reading Competition in English, Afrikaans, and IsiZulu home language divisions.

“We are especially proud of the results of our children who participated in the Afrikaans and isiZulu categories since Afrikaans and isiZulu are taught and learnt as first and second additional languages at our school.”
