Update on Boero Avenue potholes in Bramley

Locals in Bramley are urged to note that the potholes have been fixed by Johannesburg Roads Agency.

After many months of poor service delivery in Bramley North, Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) has managed to repair potholes in Boero Avenue.

Bramley Park resident Khalil Patel said they had lodged several complaints to JRA over the past year, and now they finally saw a change.

Patel said the issue was getting worse and JRA was not doing enough to fix the roads and the potholes have been damaging their vehicles. “I witnessed an accident next to Bramley Boero Avenue. We have on several occasions invited our ward councillor to neighbourhood meetings, as well as to join our Whatsapp group, both with no response. He adds no value because nobody can ask any questions or raise matters. I am so happy that JRA took accountability for their actions.”

Bramley North Ward 91 councillor Andrew Stewart said JRA has been a poor performer for a long time with potholes, sometimes taking over a year to be repaired after reporting. However, he is grateful that the potholes have been repaired.
