Residents express how they feel about Women's Day Every year,
Audrey Rampou: On Women's Day, we remember the hardships women went through in the name of being strong. There is still a long journey when it comes to gender inequality in this country, women are treated differently from men. We do not get the respect we deserve. The day should be about us women addressing the things we go through daily.
Every year, Women’s Day is celebrated on August 9.
The day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
The Sandton Chronicle took to the streets to ask residents how they felt about Women’s Day.
