Laughs for 67 minutes at Hard Rock Cafe

Cotlands is a registered non-profit organisation focusing on early childhood development with a rich heritage of 86 years of experience serving young, vulnerable children.

An evening of laughter, goodwill, and giving back as Cotlands proudly presented the fourth annual “Laugh for 67 minutes. Change a child’s life” charity comedy show.

This extraordinary event, hosted by Cotlands on July 22 at the Hard Rock Café, aimed to support vulnerable children needing early learning opportunities while promising attendees a comedy experience not to be missed.

As a partnership, the Hard Rock Café Johannesburg and Pickled Ginger, a corporate entertainment and creative concepts agency, helped create an unforgettable evening of laughter for all attendees.

Nelson Mandela, the visionary leader who championed children’s rights, once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”

Natalie Frank of the Cotlands said, “By investing in early childhood development, we actively create a brighter future for our nation.”

Frank added that extensive research shows that the first five years of a child’s life yield the highest returns on human capital.

“These children will inevitably be part of our future workforce, and we would like to encourage individuals and corporations to support us in this.”

Those who attended online and in person got entertained by the country’s most loved comedians, including Chris Forrest, Dave Levinsohn, Shanray Van Wyk, and Q Dube (Zim).

The evening ended with attendees rolling in their seats and making a profound and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

“Your support will grant them access to a brighter future, breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and giving every child the opportunity to thrive and succeed.”
