Seeing Other People guarantees laughter!

Prepare to laugh from Seeing Other People at Theatre on the Square.

Standard Bank Ovation Award-nominated production Seeing Other People is a ground-breaking comedic play premiering at the Theatre on the Square on July 19 at 19:00. The play was inspired by the works of Italian playwrights Dario Fo and Franca Rame’s The Open Couple, and has been nominated for three Naledi awards for Fringe Theatre as well from it’s runs. Although yet to win any awards, this play is definitely aligned with great success.

This side-splitting comedy is directed by the talented Hira Lodhi and produced by Daphne Kuhn and T.O.P Comedy. Seeing Other People is accredited as fearlessly embracing controversial themes, offering a hilarious and thought-provoking experience.

“The play seamlessly merges various theatre styles and genres, resulting in an innovative and truly comedic theatrical journey,” Kuhn said.

“As relationships teeter on the edge of collapse, Seeing Other People invites viewers to laugh heartily while simultaneously reflecting on the nature of the human experience.”

According to Kuhn, the director, Hira Lodhi – herself a recipient of a Standard Bank Ovation Award – brings her unique artistic vision to the production, resulting in each performer delivering electrifying and absurdly comedic performances that capture the essence of Fringe Theatre.

“The cast comprises a remarkable blend of talented actors and Wits School of Art graduates, each contributing their diverse skills in performance art, physical theatre, directing, and design,” said Kuhn.

“This innovative production promises to be an unforgettable outing for theatregoers.”
