Ayaan will no longer struggle with load-shedding

Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give.

Once again, the Sandton Chronicle has positively changed someone’s life.

The paper has covered numerous articles about Ayaan Bhoopal’s journey with his cardiac condition and recently covered how the power outage and load-shedding had a negative impact on his journey.

As Ayaan uses an oxygen machine to breathe, the power outages, which lasted for weeks in their area, put his life at risk as some of his oxygen machines needed to be charged.

Jay Singh, a humble man from ICE Cell Services, took it upon himself to gift Ayaan a new inverter, solar panels, and an installation at his home so Ayaan can have electricity for his machines.

Singh said, “After reading the article and recognising the surname of one of my former employees, Mikyla Bhoopal Bennie, who is indeed related to Ayaan, I asked her to let me get in touch with Ayaan’s mom.”

He stated that ICE Cell Services is a highly reputable company with credentials, located between Buccleuch and Waterfall, and this installation was close to his heart as he can also relate to the power outages that have been happening in the area.

Seshma Bhoopal, the mom of Ayaan, expressed her gratitude and thanked Singh.

“I am grateful and touched by the care and concern of the community, especially Jay Singh, when we met, I couldn’t believe this was happening. We met, and he assessed the oxygen machines and needs, and he immediately got a team out to work on the installation of the inverter and solar panels.”

She added that since then, the team from ICE CELL Services and Singh have been brilliant in their service and follow-up of the system installed.

“Their care and concern for Ayaan’s needs have been phenomenal. Singh says his company is part of the community, and after seeing the article in the Sandton Chronicle, he felt he needed to assist the situation and take away the huge stress.”

Bhoopal said that Ayaan has faced many challenges and has overcome most of them with his endurance. The electricity issue was not within their control or means, but now at least Ayaan can be more comfortable with his basic needs.
