Ward 32 councillor speaks about his ward

At the halfway point of the year in June, councillor Dimakatso Moloisane of Ward 32 says it has been a challenging six months because problems keep on increasing in his areas.

Being a councillor comes with its trials and tribulations.

Councillor Dimakatso Moloisane of Ward 32 weighed in on how his ward communities are doing at the halfway point of the year.

He said that as much as he has been trying to do better for the communities, most of the entities have been letting him down a lot.

“My ward covers areas in Greenstone, Modderfontein, Linbro Park, Buccleuch, Waterfall View, and Klipfontein View- and Buccleuch has become one of my greatest concerns.”

Ward 32, councillor DB Moloisane.

Moloisane explained that the first half year has been burdensome because the political instability in the city has affected its performance on service delivery.

“We currently have a backlog of potholes, reinstatements, streetlights that are not working, and continuous power and water outages in my ward.”

He states that one could swear that he is not doing his job as there are a lot of problems in the area.

“The city’s specialised fleet has been grounded for a while now due to non-payment, hence the lack of proactive service delivery.”

The councillor concluded by stating that he hopes there will be improvements in the new financial year and encourages community members to log in about any problems that they face with the city.
