Crusaders Football Club rolls on with victory over Young Scara Football Club

Crusaders Football Club got their victory in style with a 3:1 win against Scars Young Football Club

Crusaders Football Club extended their unbeaten run for the third time in the Rand Central Local Football Association League.
This was after they beat Young Scara Football Club at Crusaders’ home ground, St Stithians College on April 15.

The hosts enjoyed some early momentum as they kept Scara FC on their toes with a few sharp counter-attacks in the game’s first 20 minutes. Thabiso Phakedi’s goal for Crusaders FC broke the scoreless tie with the second goal coming from a penalty which was converted by Lebohang Thwala in the 35th minute.

“The first 40 minutes of the game went the way we planned when the coach set up the lineup. I am happy that I managed to put my team through to the next round,” said Phakedi.

Crusaders continued to dominate in the second half and could afford to make a few substitutions.

“I aimed to give other players time to play. I am excited that they did not disappoint me,” said Crusaders coach Lefate Makunyane.

Crusaders will face Panorama Football Club in their next game.
