Rays of Hope looks forward to an exciting year of growth

Rays of Hope aims to make a bigger impact in the Alexandra community in the new year, even after 31 years of partnerships and service.

Even after 31 years of partnerships and service in the Alexandra community, Rays of Hope looks forward to another year of possibilities.

This year saw the non-profit organisation continuing with its now 11 different programmes, focusing on vulnerable children and families across the community, as well as providing educational support and career guidance for schoolchildren and young people.

The organisation also reassessed its impact this year and realised that it could do so much more and in turn, reach more people in need.

“[And so] the latter part of the year has been spent organising ourselves to provide more holistic support in the areas of learning and development, psychosocial support, and family care to the more than 600 children that are part of our programmes.

“We are all excited about the changes and looking forward to journeying with them from vulnerability to independence,” said interim CEO John Shuttleworth.

Organisations, businesses or residents are urged to partner with the community on this new and exciting road by sponsoring a child to receive all the services offered for his or her age group.
