City of Johannesburg emergency services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi confirmed that teams are currently searching for a missing three-month-old baby who was believed to be part of the church ritual on December 3.

Church-goers in Bramley Park were believed to have been swept away in the river following heavy rains.

Mulaudzi confirmed that two bodies were recovered on December 3 and a further 12 on December 4.

The body of a female was recovered on December 7, bringing the total number of deaths to 15.
