Grayston Drive road works near the finish line
JRA estimates to complete its R100 million road resurfacing project on Grayston Drive by December 9.

Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) estimates that the completion of its R100 million road resurfacing project on Grayston Drive is set to be fully completed by December 9.
Road works have been completed on Grayston Drive eastbound while resurfacing continues westbound.

According to a statement by the entity, the repairs, which began on November 7 were delayed due to the formation of sinkholes on Grayston Drive between Daisy and Helen streets.

Two sinkholes on Grayston Drive were discovered while resurfacing.
Various repair mechanisms have been implemented by the maintenance depot to save lives.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution when travelling along the affected roads, adhere to the road signage and maintain a safe following distance for their safety and that of the maintenance teams on site.
“Traffic flow management has been arranged with points-duty officials along Grayston Drive and Sandton Drive during peak times for the duration of the project.”
