Sandton schools contribute over 500 boxes to the Santa Shoebox Project

Bryanston High School, Crawford International Sandton and Redhill School came together to help underprivileged children through the Santa Shoebox Project.

Schools in the Sandton and Bryanston community continue to show their support for others in need, participating in this year’s edition of the Santa Shoebox Project.

For the past 16 years, the project has collected and distributed personalised gift boxes filled with essential items and treats for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia. To date, the initiative has reached more than one million children.

With the help of its staff, parents and learners, Bryanston High School came together to collect, personalise and deliver 250 shoeboxes.

Redhill School’s Interact Committee collected 150 boxes for the Sandton Shoebox Project.

Crawford International Sandton Pre-Primary collected an incredible 106 boxes.

According to Crawford International’s Nadia Cooke, this is the perfect opportunity to teach young minds about the gift of giving and learning the value of helping others.

“The children who wanted to participate were given a pledge form and went shopping with their parents for their new special little friend for the eight required items. It is puzzling us all how Santa is going to manage carrying all those boxes in his sleigh.”

Crawford International Sandton Pre-Primary is proud of its contribution.

Redhill School’s Interact Committee came together to collect 150 boxes for the Santa Shoebox Project. The learners also collected nine boxes for the Thandanani Early Learning Centre in Alexandra.

“Thank you for your generosity, care and commitment in giving 242 children you have never met an amazing gift and memory to end the year. “
