Local award-winning makeup artist Morag Steyn was recently honoured for her craft at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Award-winning local makeup artist Morag Steyn continues to impress, recently winning the award for best makeup in a film at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
The Sandton resident was named one of the best makeup artists for her work on the local film Angeliena at the award ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.
Steyn has more than a decade and a half of experience in the beauty, makeup, and fashion industry, and is known for being an expert at creating the signature, truly unique, genre-bending makeup and hairstyles for her clients and productions.

She has worked with a number of leading names in Africa and Bollywood including Thapelo Moekena, Tshamano Sebe, Randeep Hooda, Kamal Hassan, Minnie Dlamini, Mrunal Thakur and Radhika Madan, to name a few.
“It was one of the most challenging projects I have ever worked on in my entire career. It is always a beautiful and rewarding feeling when my work is recognized and honoured. I am truly blessed to win an award of this stature in Africa.”
Steyn is now working on an array of new local productions all while making time to host various makeup skills development projects.
